On the morning of November 20, led by Yuan Jinglin, Deputy Director of the County People’s Congress Standing Committee, a research team of People’s Congress deputies from Feidong County visited Yangdian Township to learn about the progress of the township’s living environment improvement efforts. The Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Township People’s Congress accompanied the delegation on the visit.
The research team visited the Yangdian Community Cultural Square, the Yangdian Project Office of the Feidong Branch of Longjishun Industrial Development Co., Ltd., and the Shengli Community to conduct on-site research. Through on-site inspections and briefings, the team focused on understanding the situation regarding waste collection, improvements to the living environment, and the “Beautiful Countryside” initiative in our township.
At the Yangdian Community Cultural Square, the research team listened to a report from the Feidong Branch of Longjishun on rural waste recycling efforts and inspected the eco-friendly vehicles used for street cleaning. The team then visited the Yangdian Project Office of the Feidong Branch of Longjishun Industrial Development Co., Ltd., where they heard from the company’s representative regarding the progress of the town’s living environment improvement efforts and plans for the next phase of work. Yuan Jinglin, Deputy Director of the County People’s Congress Standing Committee, asked the company representative if they had any further comments or suggestions regarding the government’s work. The representative expressed the hope that higher-level leaders would place greater emphasis on the improvement of the living environment and organize relevant personnel to visit and learn from other exemplary townships. The township official fully endorsed this suggestion.
“Shengli Community did an excellent job with its 2019 Beautiful Rural Villages initiative; the rural living environment is beautiful, and the roads are wide and well-lit. While infrastructure is gradually being improved, the greater priority is to enhance the public’s sense of fulfillment. At the same time, initiatives that resonate with the people and reflect their needs—such as public bus shelters—should be implemented in more areas, allowing more residents to experience the warmth of the government’s work and witness the improvement in rural civility.” Yuan Jinglin, Deputy Director of the County People’s Congress Standing Committee, expressed satisfaction with the significant improvement in the living environment in Yangdian Township.
