A Tribute to the City’s Cleaners

Showcasing the Excellence of Zhongxin Hang’s Zhuhai Branch

In the Zhuhai Cooperation Zone, a grand festive celebration kicked off, adding a splash of color to the upcoming 31st Guangdong Provincial Sanitation Workers’ Day and the 4th Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone Sanitation Workers’ Day. The event featured a rich and varied program designed to convey the most sincere appreciation and care to all sanitation workers in the Cooperation Zone, while fostering a strong atmosphere of respect and support for them throughout society.

On the morning of October 25, the auditorium at the Cooperation Zone Civic Center was bustling with activity. Numerous leaders were in attendance, including Zhang Guoji, Director of the Bureau of Urban Planning and Construction; Tan Huifang, Deputy Director; and Mei Xiao, Acting Director of the Municipal Administration Bureau, who all attended the event with great solemnity. Wan Bins, Deputy General Manager of Zhuhai Dahengqin Urban Public Resources Management Co., Ltd.; Zhao Chunli, Executive Director of Zhuhai Dahengqin Qinjian Development Co., Ltd.; and Wang Yu, Greater Bay Area Director of Kuwah Technology Co., Ltd., were also in attendance. In addition, more than 70 representatives of sanitation workers were present, dressed in neat uniforms and with faces beaming with pride and anticipation.

Zhang Guoji, Director of the Urban Planning and Construction Bureau, took the stage first to extend his highest holiday greetings to all sanitation workers on the front lines. He emphasized that by widely promoting Sanitation Workers’ Day, he hopes to draw society’s genuine attention to this group of unsung heroes and work together to build a more beautiful and livable New Hengqin.

Then came the exciting moment. Director Zhang Guoji and Deputy Director Tan Huifang personally presented the “Outstanding Environmental Beautifier” certificates of honor and prizes to the outstanding sanitation workers. Among this distinguished group, Yang Zhiquan, Huang Erjie, and Duan Zuokai from Zhongxin Hang’s Zhuhai Branch stood out in particular. They demonstrated outstanding performance in environmental sanitation work throughout 2024, contributing to the city’s cleanliness with a high sense of responsibility and dedication. Through their actions, they exemplified what it truly means to be an “Outstanding Environmental Beautifier.”

On this special day, officials from the Urban Planning and Construction Bureau issued an appeal to the entire community: We hope everyone will start with themselves in their daily lives, protect the environment, and sort their trash properly. Let us work together to build a clean, welcoming, and beautiful cooperative zone. Only when everyone recognizes their own responsibility can our city become a better place.

The awards received by Yang Zhiquan, Huang Erjie, and Duan Zuokai of Zhongxin Hang’s Zhuhai Branch are not only a personal honor for them but also a source of pride for the Zhuhai Branch. Their achievements will inspire more people to dedicate themselves to the great cause of urban environmental development.
